Transparency Protocol

Your Data is
Safe & Minimal

Last Updated: December 2025

1. The Gist

I built this portfolio to showcase my work and connect with people. I am not in the business of selling data. I only collect the absolute minimum information required to make the Guestbook and Authentication features work.

2. Authentication (Google & GitHub)

When you sign in to leave a message in the Guestbook, I use OAuth providers (Google and GitHub). This means I never see or store your password.

What I receive:

  • Your Name (to display on your post)
  • Your Email Address (for unique identification, never displayed publicly)
  • Your Avatar/Profile Picture (to make the guestbook look cool)

3. Public Guestbook Data

If you choose to sign the Guestbook, the following information will be publicly visible to anyone visiting the site:

  • Your Name
  • Your Profile Picture
  • The message/comment you wrote
  • The date you posted

Note: Your email address is stored securely in my database to link your account but is never shown to other visitors.

Essential Cookies Only

I do not use tracking cookies or ads. The site uses standard session cookies provided by the framework (Laravel) to keep you logged in and ensure security (CSRF protection). These are strictly necessary for the site to function.

Server Logs

Like almost all websites, the server automatically records basic technical info when you visit (IP address, browser type). This is used solely for security and debugging if the site crashes.

5. Your Rights

It's your data. You have the right to disappear.

If you want your Guestbook entry deleted or your account removed from my database, simply reach out to me via the Contact Page. I will wipe your data immediately.
